Dairy and Diseases
Are you aware of the dangers of consuming milk and dairy products on our health & the environment.
THE TRUTH: The dairy industry is dying!
The dairy sales is dropping in developed countries for the past 30 years!
The crisis is so severe that their farmers are committing suicide!
What do they want? To avert the crisis by 2020.
But the future of the dairy industry gets bleaker and bleaker:
What do they do?
Dump their unsold products in the Philippines and other developing countries. Annually, milk companies import more than $800 million, a drain on our dollar reserves and sell it locally at seven (7) to ten (10) times the import cost!
Ninety nine percent (99%) of our milk and dairy products are sourced from abroad.
Dairy products are marketed as a top calcium and protein source needed by the human body for proper growth and development. Currently, it is also marketed as a suitable food supplement for pregnant mothers and the elderly.
THE TRUTH: Cow's milk is for cows. It wrecks havoc on our health. The US Food and Drug has declared cow's milk as the Number 1 food allergen.
THE TRUTH: There are many adverse health effects of dairy consumption. Read the entire White Lies Report, the scientific basis of our campaign: Iwas Gatas Pilipinas Ngayon - Dump Dairy Philippines on Facebook.
The White Lies report is a compilations of over 400 scientific studies from reputable peer-reviewed journals such as the British Medical Journal and the Lancet enumerating the various illnesses that one can get in consuming dairy.

THE TRUTH: Cow's milk is not sterile! It has a lot of contaminants!
The World Health Organization and UNICEF have determined that formula milk is not sterile with Enterobacter Sakazakii as one of the virulent pathogens that can contaminate it.
There are many other contaminants in cow's milk that are harmful to children and even adults.
Possibly contaminated milk had been sold in our country and many parts of the world:
Breastfeeding rates have not increased significantly despite massive campaigns, trainings and policy changes.
Since 35% of our country's maternal deaths is due to hypertension and many studies show that cow's milk consumption can lead to diabetes, we have to be more vigilant in promoting fruits and vegetables that will not cause any of these problems especially to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers.
Even Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) criticized their own Department of Agriculture in promoting the consumption of dairy that they said allows "Intense lobbying efforts from a variety of food industries also helped shape the pyramid and the plate."
According to the HSPH, the USDA’s My Plate's "blueprint was based on shaky scientific evidence, and it barely changed over the years to reflect major advances in our understanding of the connection between diet and health. Experts at the HSPH added that, "There is little, if any, evidence that eating dairy prevents osteoporosis or fractures, and there is considerable evidence that high dairy product consumption is associated with increased risk of fatal prostate and maybe ovarian cancers."
Avoid food poisoning by serving fresh fruits and vegetables instead of processed milk.
Let us promote an indigenous diet is safer, cheaper and is an excellent source of calcium and other essential nutrients. Let us protect our children and ensure the sustainability of our ecology and our economy!
Let us not allow our children and the general public especially women and the elderly to be the dump site of these dangerous products.
There are many reasons why we should not drink cow’s milk. It is not natural for humans to drink another species' milk e.g. cows. According to Frank Oski, MD, Former Director of Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins University, “There is no reason to drink cow’s milk at anytime in your life. It is designed for calves, not humans and we should all stop drinking it today.”
The Philippines has a variety of indigenous foods that are affordable, accessible, abundant especially when it is in season and rich in calcium, especially when we combine and cook them using the traditional way. Our tropical country produces many fruits and vegetables that are now called Superfoods by the international community.
